Wyoming Department of Transportation
The Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT)’s Coordinated Plan (the Plan) will identify transportation needs and service gaps for older adults, individuals with disabilities, and people with low incomes in the state of Wyoming.
The Plan will provide strategies for meeting existent needs and will prioritize transportation services for future funding and implementation.
To develop the Plan, WYDOT is engaging representatives of public, private, and non-profit transportation and human service providers and providing opportunities for members of the public to voice input.
Enhanced mobility for older adults, individuals with disabilities, and people with low incomes.
Improved regional connectivity with existing funding.
More equitable transportation options for rural and transit-dependent Wyomingites.
Stronger statewide coordination across agencies and providers.
Better positioning for Wyoming to receive discretionary grants for transportation services.
The Plan update began at the beginning of 2022 and is anticipated to conclude in winter 2022. Over the course of the Plan’s development, WYDOT and the consult team will develop and analyze a provider inventory survey, form and lead a Project Advisory Committee, and interview key stakeholders, including transit system-reliant users.
